Everything ready for the winter party with Gyzie – Latest news

Organizers of JTL Beukes Primary School’s winter party say everything is set for the event from 8pm on Friday, when attendees will be entertained by langarm and jazz artist Gyzie.

Head of events Jack Matende says the party, which will be held in the school hall, aims to welcome winter in a fun and entertaining way.

Proceeds from the event will help raise funds to rehabilitate the school’s sports facilities, which have not been in use in recent years.

“In the past, the school was the best and we, as a school board, school administration and the entire community, want to come together to claim our place in sports.

“This event is very different from all the other events we have done before. With this event we welcome winter in a fun way and encourage the public to dance to forget the cold. We believe this is the best time to attract all dance lovers in Rehoboth. At the party, the audience can expect to dance the night away to different music remixed to suit the baster dance and other Namibian dance moves,” she says.

There will be a cash bar, soup and bread, as well as kapana for sale.

“The event is for a good cause. Let’s come and support the school. Let us come together and support and help improve a school for our future leaders,” adds Matende.
