Shortly after Woollim Entertainment announced her departure from the girl group Rocket Punch, Takahashi Juri He took to his Instagram to dedicate a heartfelt letter to his fans.

Takahashi Juri wrote:

“Hello, I’m Juri.

My artist contract with Woollim Entertainment expired after 5 years and I have concluded my activities as Juri of Rocket Punch. It was difficult for me to inform you that my contract period was 5 years earlier, so I will let you know later.

I am writing a letter to express my gratitude to all those who worked so hard alongside me over the past 5 years, from CEO Lee Joong Yeob to the Woollim staff and of course KETCHY.

Over the past 5 years I spent promoting in Korea, I was able to challenge myself countless times. I would like to sincerely thank Woollim Entertainment for being with me through all of this from the beginning and always taking care of me. And to the many fellow artists, broadcast station staff, and hair, makeup and styling staff, your hard work and professionalism inspired me greatly. The time I spent working alongside all of you was truly an honor. I won’t forget all those times we worked together for our comeback activities, on the set of the audition show, during variety shows and various content. Thank you.

I think everyone goes through a time when they have to struggle through difficult times in their life, and to me, what really matters is who is with you in those times. My members. If I had been alone all this time, I would have felt so alone and wouldn’t have been able to bear it all.

I was very happy to have Yeonhee, Suyun, Yunkyoung, Sohee, and Dahyun by my side, and it was because I was with them that I was able to do everything I did. They were meaningful and joyful moments because we were together. Thanks girls.

And KETCHY. I’m sure you were surprised by the sudden news.

First of all, I am sorry to bring you such surprising news.

Combining the 5 years I spent promoting in Korea with the 8 years I spent promoting in Japan, I was an idol for 13 years. To all the fans who recognized my efforts as an artist Juri, to all the fans who encouraged me and stood by me, to all my fans and to all of KETCHY, thank you very much.

I’ve spent almost half my life being supported by my fans. I don’t know if I was happy to be an idol or if it was fun to be an idol. Rather, I was happy about the fact that I was able to create so many memories with my fans and KETCHY, supporting each other and sharing our values with each other.

I am so grateful to have had people I was able to show ‘Juri’s colors’ to no matter what world or time I was in. Even when times were tough, what lingered in my heart was the love I received from my fans and the gratitude I felt toward them. While I cannot remember each and every hardship I faced during all this time, I remember each and every smile, word, and message exchanged with KETCHY, and I will never forget them.

Thank you so much for creating all the bright and beautiful colors in my world. Thank you for being my light. I will start a new chapter of my life from her, but KTCHY, promise me that you will always be happy and healthy.

The world is always changing, but for me, KETCHY are unchanging people and the dearest people to me.

For the last time, as an idol Juri, I want to say thank you and I love you, KETCHY.
