Pandemonium as hoodlums attack anti-Ganduje protesters at APC headquarters

The national secretariat in Abuja was plunged into chaos on Thursday when suspected thugs attacked a group of protesters who stormed the party headquarters demanding the resignation of its national president, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The anti-Ganduje agitators were suddenly attacked by suspected thugs carrying sticks, destroying their banners and banners and beating them as they approached the APC national secretariat.

The protesters, who ran for safety, later converged at an open place in Wuse 2, where their leader, Hamisu Suleiman Sardauna, called on critical actors of the party to remove Ganduje from the presidency to return to the central area. north, in accordance with the 2022 APC zoning agreement.

“We are peacemakers. We are members of this party, so no one can deny us justice. We are here for a peaceful protest, but some thugs came and beat our members. This is shameful.

“We are crying out for justice. APC stakeholders must return the position of national chairman to the North Centre. “We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, governors of the party and other critical stakeholders to champion this cause in accordance with the provisions of the APC constitution,” he said.

For his part, the Chairman of the APC Stakeholders Forum in Nasarawa State, Sani Ibrahim Jigas, said the replacement of the former National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, should have come from the Central North, calling on the parties APC stakeholders to ensure that justice is done.

About the attack on his group, Jigas said: “Some of our members are now in the hospital because they were beaten by thugs a few minutes ago. Shame on whoever sent them to attack our members.”
