Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, has tried to drop “Pitt” from her name. On May 27, when she turned 18, she filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court to have her name changed. Her current full name is Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.

This comes after the former celebrity couple’s 15-year-old daughter Vivienne also reportedly dropped “Pitt” from her name. On a poster for the new musical The Outsiders, her name was listed as Vivienne Jolie and not Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, People reported.

Last November, Zahara, the eldest daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie at her induction into the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College, a video revealed.

These name changes come amid continued reports of strain in Brad Pitt’s relationship with his children since Angelina Jolie initially filed for divorce and sole physical custody in 2016. The divorce was apparently triggered by an event on a private flight from France to Los Angeles in September. 2016. There were reports of an altercation on the flight that also involved children.

Brad Pitt, however, has denied these accusations. The FBI, which was investigating the incident, did not charge him.

The former couple is also at odds over a French winery they once owned together. In 2022, Brad Pitt sued Angelina Jolie’s Nouvel company for secretly selling her share of his winery without his consent.

In her rebuttal, filed in a Los Angeles court, Jolie said in the document that she attempted to sell the Miraval winery but negotiations collapsed after Pitt influenced her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that “prohibited Jolie from speaking (except in court) about Pitt’s abuse.”
