Saudi club will launch a mega-monetary offer for Tottenham and the star linked to Newcastle

Barcelona are entering a new era under Hansi Flick and once again player sales will be necessary to finance their transfer business.

The Catalans’ financial problems continue and several first team players will have to be let go and one who has been strongly linked with an exit is Rafina.

The Brazilian international joined Barcelona in a £55 million deal Leeds United in 2022 and has gone through mixed periods in LaLiga.

Raphinha has made 37 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists in the process.

Barcelona must make significant sales if it is to generate the funds necessary for Flick to sign its own players.

According to reports from Spain, “discussions” have already been held about the possible sale of Raphinha, a target of the Saudi Arabian clubs.

The good news for Barca is that they should be able to collect a mammoth fee from the Gulf State this summer.

Other players such as Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong and Andreas Christensen have also been strongly linked with departures from the Camp Nou.

The Saudi club prepares a great offer for the Barcelona star

spanish exit Maryland claim that an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia is willing to spend “at least €100m (£85.2m) on Raphinha this summer”.

This would represent a profit of around £30m for the former Leeds star and would give Flick and his new team some wiggle room in the transfer market.

The problem, however, is that as things stand, Raphinha has no interest in moving to Saudi Arabia. However, clubs in the region will do everything they can to convince him to make the switch.

The Brazilian could become the latest big name to move to the Middle East, following the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar and others.

Raphinha currently earns just under £200,000 a week with Barcelona, according to reports, and his Saudi suitors would no doubt offer to increase that figure.

Meanwhile, Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation.

Tottenham and Newcastle have been linked with Raphinha in recent weeks.but they would have difficulty matching the pending offer of 100 million euros.

The English duo may have the chance to sign Raphinha if he rejects a move to Saudi Arabia, so he is certainly a player their fans should keep an eye on.
