Afronitaa and Abigail from Ghana dazzle on Britain’s Got Talent and advance to the final

Accra, May 31, GNA – Ghanaian dancers Afronitaa and Abigail advanced to the final of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent show after a splendid display in the semi-final on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

The dancing couple will now take part in Sunday’s final as they compete for the top cash prize of £250,000, as well as winning a place in the Royal Variety Performance.

After being announced as semi-finalists on Thursday, Afronitaa and Abigail performed an electric choreography that earned them enough votes to advance to the finals.

The duo opened their performance with the global hit single ‘Azonto’ by ODG and also danced to Run the World by Beyonce and “Gweta” by Toofan, earning them huge applause from the judges and the audience sitting in the auditorium.

An Instagram post from Britain’s Got Talent read: “Your votes have sent Abigail and Afronitaa straight to Sunday’s final. Congratulations!”

This news has caused a buzz on social media, where Ghanaians congratulate the duo on their success and wish them the best for Sunday’s final.
