Civil War Anniversary: Why all Biafrans should observe sit-at-home – BRGIE

The Government of the Republic of Biafra in exile, BRGIE has explained that it is the duty of all Igbos and South East lovers to honor their sit-in house from May 29 to 31, 2024 in honor of the Biafra heroes killed in the Civil War from 1967-1970. in Nigeria.

The group said this while lamenting that while the civil war ended in the pages of newspapers, it was not yet over physically, militarily, politically and structurally.

Simon Ekpa, Prime Minister of BRGIE, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the sit-in is necessary so that people can vote for the liberation of Biafra.

He stressed that Biafra Independent is a price that all Igbos should sacrifice for actualization.

“The sit-in at home in Biafraland on the following dates to allow Biafrans to vote in the last phase of the first stage of the self-referendum.

“May 29, 2024, sit at home and vote; May 30, 2024 Biafra Day: Sit at home and vote; May 31, 2024 vote at home.

“Furthermore, the Government of the Republic of Biafra in exile is not a political pressure group, unlike others who only agreed to stay home on May 30.

“BRGIE is very proactive and we channeled all our efforts towards the liberation of Biafra by all means necessary, so you will not sit at home on the 30th, but rather take advantage of it to cast your vote.

“The Civil War only ended in the pages of the newspapers but it has not ended physically, militarily, politically and structurally.

“I urge Biafrans across the South East, South-South to vote for the Liberation of Biafra and observe the sit-in at home.

“The Biafra self-referendum has three stages. The last stage will end in November 2024, while the Declaration convention will begin on November 29 and end on December 3, 2024.

“More than five million Biafrans have voted in the ongoing self-referendum, both online and in-country, from thousands of polling stations across all 40 states,” he said.
