Rohit Sharma and Nazmul Hossain Shanto marvel at the magic of the New York stadium

While enjoying a moment to take in the scenery, India must start working on the warm-up, with their first group match at the same venue on June 8 against Ireland.

“We are trying to understand the most important conditions (before the tournament itself), as we have not been here before,” Rohit continued.

“(We will try to) make the most of the conditions, get used to what it will be like on June 5 when we play our first game. It’s just about getting into that rhythm of feeling the terrain, the tone and things like that.”

“People in New York will be very interested in coming and watching the World Cup, as the World Cup will be held here for the first time.

“I am pretty sure that all the fans of the different teams are very excited and looking forward to this tournament. And also because the players are eager to get started.”

Limited general admission tickets remain available for the opening match in New York, and tickets including food and drink are also available for all matches in Nassau County, including India vs. Pakistan.
