The ANC’s Johannesburg elections chief, who is also the Johannesburg city regional director, allegedly assaulted a female paramedic who treated and transported his injured brother to hospital on Saturday.

Paramedic Shalati Mushwana claimed Judge Ngalonkulu also told her: “I own Gauteng” and threatened to fire her.

Mushwana said his “crime” was asking Ngalonkulu to move his car, which was blocking the door of the ambulance that had transported his brother to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. The brother had allegedly been involved in an accident on Union Road in Eldorado Park.
