DC Area Forecast: Summer pattern sets in with daily risk of rain and storms

A somewhat subjective rating of the time of day, on a scale of 0 to 10.

6/10: Approaching 90 with a chance of a storm later in the day would seem more appropriate after Memorial Day than before.

A summer pattern has taken hold that will continue into the holiday weekend. It won’t be as hot and humid as what we’d normally see in June or July, but it’s easy to wear shorts and t-shirts, not to mention sunscreen if you’ll be outside for an extended period during the late morning to mid-afternoon hours.
