New coach available is one to watch for Man Utd, eager to replace Ten Hag

Heading into the FA Cup final, Manchester United are still considering all management options. But there is a recently available option that is interesting.

After a tumultuous season for Manchester United, Erik ten Hag’s future remains uncertain with much thought on the FA Cup final result.

Replacing Ten Hag is not something many would argue against after he led United to the worst Premier League campaign the club has ever endured.

An eighth place and only 60 points does not help him much, nor does the lack of playing style.

Because of this, rumors about his replacement have persisted and an option is now emerging who wants to replace Ten Hag this summer, as Ineos mulls the decision.

Mauricio Pochettino eager to replace Erik ten Hag this summer

After it emerged on Tuesday that Chelsea had cut ties with Mauricio Pochettino, there was immediate talk of United being interested in the Argentine.

Now, talkSPORT have reported that the feeling is mutual, with Pochettino interested in becoming United’s new manager.

However, the report adds that United are yet to decide whether they will part ways with Ten Hag, a decision they have been waiting to make since they arrived.

TalkSPORT isn’t the only voice talking about Pochettino at United either, with David Ornstein also discussing on Sky Sports his views on Pochettino’s chances at United, admitting he is “clearly someone to watch” .

As Ornstein mentioned, Ineos are known to like Pochettino and they even made a move to bring him to Nice in 2022.

Pochettino did enough at Chelsea to prove he should be Manchester United’s first choice

While it didn’t work out at Chelsea for Pochettino, United should not let this stop them from making a move should a manager be needed.

At Chelsea, the former Spurs boss was doing well since the start of the year, as he led his Blues to their fourth-most points in their final 19 games of the season.

Clearly Pochettino’s Chelsea were on an upward curve and frankly the decision to part ways is a bit baffling, although United won’t complain as it opened up a potentially excellent option for United.

If Ten Hag leaves, United should look no further than Pochettino as the club’s next manager – he is the best option available this summer.
