Nana Yaw Amponsah leaves Moldova’s Petrocub Hîncești after “vision disorder”


Football administrator Nana Yaw Amponsah has parted ways with Moldovan side Petrocub Hîncești after six months as its president.

In a statement released by Samaritan Investment, a group representing Amponsah, the decision to cut ties with Petrocub follows the “discovery of unusual activities” and a “mismatch in vision.”

The statement went on to acknowledge and value “the achievements made” during the period.

Amponsah joined the club in January 2024 and contributed to their first Moldovan Premier League title and Moldovan Cup trophy triumphs.

The former Asante Kotoko chief executive said it was “time for a new and exciting chapter” as he stepped down.
