England 0-0 Slovenia: player ratings from the Euro 2024 Group C match | Euro 2024

England (4-3-3)

Jordan Pickford (Goalkeeper) I had almost nothing to do. He seemed to play shorter passes. Expect an early header from Sesko. 6

Kyle Walker (RB) Had some strange moments in possession. He didn’t overlap enough but his defense was acceptable. 6

John Piedras (CB) The initial distribution was dubious. But he was part of England that restricted Slovenia to few vacancies. 7

Marc GuĂ©hi (CB) Karnicnik’s blocked cross. Booked after a mix-up. Mostly fluent, but needs to iron out minor errors. 7

Kieran Trippier (LB) Sometimes, it is Slovenia’s goal. It’s not his fault he’s on the left. Cautioned for a clumsy foul. 6

Conor Gallagher (CM) Instead of Trent Alexander-Arnold, too careless in possession. Hidden from the ball. Hooked on the break. 4

Declan Rice (CM) Inaccurate passing during the first half. It offered more stability after the break. He emerged and shot wide. 6

Jude Bellingham (CM) Shifted to the left to provide more width. More disciplined but heavy with the ball. 5

Bukayo Saka (RW) They almost fell behind Slovenia during the first half. He struggled to find space. Place under threat. 5

Harry Kane (CF) The captain still seems off the pace. The touch was heavy, the movement laborious. Never threatened. 5

Phil Foden (LW) Responsible for England’s liveliest moments in the first half. Offside when setting up the goal for Saka. 6

Substitutes: Kobbie Mainoo (for Gallagher, ht) It made a difference. He wanted the ball. Keep him. 7; Cole Palmer (for Saka, 71) Made creative and smart passes. Missed late opportunity. 7; Trent Alexander-Arnold (for Kieran Trippier, 84) 6; Anthony Gordon (by Foden, 89) 6

Slovenia (4- 4-2)

Jan Oblak (Goalkeeper) Claimed a couple of tame efforts in the first half. He was not forced to perform heroic acts. 6

Zan Karnicnik (RB) The correct cross cannot be produced after reaching the baseline. I had some problems with Foden. 7

Vanja Drkusic (CB) He made strong challenges to Kane. He seemed to be in the right place to make interceptions. 7 months

Jaka Bijol (CB) Without fear of getting nervous. He took one for the team after Kane converted it. Reserved. 7

Erik Janza (LB) Early booking rules him out of the round of 16. But he managed well with Saka. 7

Petar Stojanovic (RW) He headed a deep cross into a dangerous position. Follow up back to deal with Foden. Altruistic. 6

Adam Gnezda Cerin (CM) He pressured England’s midfielders into making mistakes in the first half. He protected the defense as time went on. 6

Timi Max Elsnik (CM) A tigress presence that disrupted and disrupted England. Some decent passes. 6

Jan Mlakar (LW) He looked to make some deep crosses but was unlikely to trouble Walker. Saka annulled. 6

Andraz Sporar (CF) He tried to worry the English centre-backs and really wanted to shoot. But he was hungry for service. 6

Benjamin Sesko (CF) The dangerous man had a good chance at Pickford. He took a hit and had to escape. 6

Substitutes: Josip Ilicic (for Sesko, 75) 6; Zan Celar (for Sporar, 86) 6; Jon Gorenc Stankovic (for Mlakar, 86) 6; Jure Balkovec (for Janza, 90+1) 6
