Ghanaian TikTok star Martina Dwamena, popularly known as Asantewaa, has shared a story about a bad experience with a close friend that bankrupted her.

Asantewaa tells how a friend scammed her

In an interview with Emelia Brobbey, Asantewaa revealed that she was the victim of a scam perpetrated by a close friend.

According to the TikTok star, she gave her friend a lot of money to build her a house without her husband knowing. However, the friend could not build the house and she absconded with her money.

She said,

“At my age, I wanted to surprise myself with a house, but one situation surprised me quite a bit. A friend of mine scammed me. She still hasn’t returned my money. You can’t trust anyone with your money in Accra.”

Asantewaa also added that the situation affected his finances as he had invested all his savings in the construction project.

She said,

“I lost everything. I invested all my money in the project at that time, thinking I would move into my new house next month. I even invited some friends to my housewarming event. I hadn’t even seen the house at that time .period. I was bankrupt.”

She said she was only able to recover from her financial problems with the help of some of her colleagues at TikTok, who supported her with money and food.

Asantewaa also expressed her gratitude to God and some of her friends for their support during the difficult period.

Asantewaa donates baby creams, diapers and detergents on the occasion of her 30th birthday

Earlier, reported that Asantewaa donated some baby products and detergent to a children’s hospital in the Greater Accra region to celebrate her 30th birthday.

Asantewaa was accompanied by some of her management team members, who helped her distribute the items to the sick children.
