Will FCSB take action for the Bafana striker?

Romanian giants FCSB are said to be closing in on signing Bafana Bafana and former FC Copenhagen striker Luther Singh after talks with their representatives.

Singh, 26, spent most of his career in Europe, plying his trade for teams such as SC Braga, Moreirense FC, Chaves and, lastly, FK Cukaricki.

The Stars Of Africa Youth Development graduate split from Cukaricki in January 2024.

Information received by iDiski Times claims Singh is getting closer to joining Siyabonga Ngezana’s FCSB club after holding talks with his representatives.

This publication understands that two Egyptian Premier League teams, Zamalek SC and Ismaily, submitted their offers for Singh, but both were rejected because they could not meet the fee required by the player’s camp.

If the deal goes through, Singh will be the second South African signed by FCSB in the space of a year after former Kaizer Chiefs defender Ngezana, who joined the Romanian champions in August 2023 and won the league title in his season debut.

The Romanian giants returned to pre-season a week ago, as preparations for next season begin. They have three important games next month, the Super Cup final against Corvinul Hunedoara and two UEFA Champions League qualifying clashes against Virtus.

The Soweto-born attacker played 16 games for the Cukaricki, including four in the UEFA Conference League. He scored two league goals in the process.
